I've been working as an artist and art educator in upstate New York since 2001. Born and raised in northeast Pennsylvania, I studied art at the College of Visual and Performing Arts at Syracuse University, where I received a B.F.A in art education with a concentration in ceramics. In 2008, I earned an M.A. in Liberal Studies from Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY, where I studied the evolution of pottery traditions within Native American cultures. Since 2010, I have been teaching art at the high school level full-time, and in 2014 I became a National Board Certified teacher. Currently, I live and teach in the Ithaca, NY area.
